It's about that time.

Everyone has been making fun of me because I have ALREADY started decorating for Halloween. I thought I might defend myself. First, I hate that we only get a month (a busy month) to enjoy it usually. We love Halloween around here. Second, we are out of town a lot this September. It will take a ton of pressure off of me for when we get back in town and everything is already done. See, I am smarter then you thought. The look on the kids faces when they came home and saw that Halloween was around the corner was why I did it. Just a great time of year.

I am in love with my mantle display. I will show the whole thing more next week. Hint....we are heading to my favorite place in the world this weekend THE HIGHLANDS in NC. They are my inspiration for holiday decorating and entertaining.



I was strolling through Michaels the other day and found this little diddy. I have been wanting this Martha Stewart hole punch (but a much bigger one) for a long time. I needed it to make cupcake toppers and some other crafty little things. I happened to see this on the "As Is" table. It is usually 14.99 but down to 2.50. I used it to make the hole in the above pic. I have been amazed at how many things I have used it on. For some weird reason I am CRAZY CRAFTY lately. We will see how long that lasts.



We are headed to the mountains to celebrate Labor Day and my honeys birthday with family. So excited for a fun relaxing weekend. Hope you enjoy your Holiday.
