Snow Cream and Magic Boots

I have magic boots. Cool hunh! For some reason Tommy (my ANYTHING to be comfortable child) loves to wear my boots. Any job that needs to be done such as get the mail, bring in the trash can or CLEAN BEHIND THE FRIDGE is tolerable if he can wear my boots. HA. He saw me cleaning behind the fridge last night and decided with the boots on he could jump back there and do it himself. I almost fainted from happiness. He did a GREAT job too! Baseboards and everything. Now, Ill be honest. I was well aware two minutes in that he was wanting a new DS game. I wasn't born yesterday after all. But Marc and I thought it was great that he realized on his own that to get that game he was going to have to EARN it by being a helpful part of the family. He did not sit on the couch crying for a game, he didn't beg me every five minutes for a game he simply saw an opportunity to EARN the game and that said a lot to us.

Then we decided to make snow cream. A completly foregin concept to me but apparently thats how they do it here in the South. HA. So he put on the Magic boots and went in the backyard (to be "Coyote bait") to gather some snow.

He called his Grandmother to get the recipe

And then dove in

Of course brother is always around!

Two things we learned about making snow cream. It melts REALLY fast and don't use the REAL vanilla your Mother in Law brought your from Puerto Rico. It will turn your snow cream brown and your husband will think you did something drastically wrong. LOL
