Me: Do you smell smoke?
Christy: No, don't think so.
Me: No really I smell smoke hold on......
Me opening front door
Me: CHRISTY! Its my yard, ITS GOING TO HIT THE HOUSE
Christy: 911? (Notice the question Mark HA)
Me: 911! NOW!
So she calls 911 immediately (later I found out so was half the neighborhood HA) and I dial as well because when there are flames a blazin in your yard you kinda want ALL the 911 operators to know!
THIS IS NOT my house! Just wanted to show you what the flames looked more like because

in my head THIS is what I was seeing! Again, obviously NOT my house. Let me tell you it was in my head!

But all was well because our trusty local firefighter was here in a jiffy. He seriously came through my house and tracked black soot all over but um you didn't see me complaining! Let me tell you my neighbors are one funny bunch. Lisa is driving by sees the firetrucks and fixes her hair and makeup while driving by (NEVER STOPPING TO SEE IF I WAS ON FIRE). LOL Don't you laugh Christy because you were running water out to them and I'm pretty sure they have a cooler in their handy little firetruck! HEE HEHEHHE you girls crack me up. Michelle next door that lost her entire back yard was just mad she missed the firefighters! Gotta love this crew!!!! We are crazy.
NOT my actual firefighter today. Dont think it didnt cross my mind to see if he would let me take his picture for my little blog. Oh man I should have!

So to make a very long, funny, crazy and twisted story short here is what happened. The 11 year old boy who lives in the green house that you see in the pics was playing with smoke bombs. Real smart! Anyway, long story short bomb catch fire, fire catch grass, grass on fire make way to my house.
The above pic is of my poor neighbors yard. The flames came a few inches from their propane tanks. That worried me more then anything.

The last picture shows how weird the fire was. Ok, see the green house. Started in his yard. Killed his entire yard. Instead of moving straight into the woods with all the dead twigs and leaves it caught the grass and moved to the next house, hopped the trees into that yard and started up to my house. Looking at the pattern it took in person is really weird.
Good news is no one was hurt, except my pride but you would have to hear the whole story to understand why. Maybe I will have Christy be a guest blogger for a day and tell it. I honestly don't know what I was thinking but apparently my car and my dog were VERY important to me. I'm literally going to laugh myself to sleep tonight thinking of all the things I said and did today.
By the way, my neighbors yard is going to beautiful when it returns.
