My addiction.

It started out as a decoration. I have a cute hook in the kitchen that I thought vintage aprons would look kinda cute on. Then I started wearing one when I made dinner. OH MY. For the life of me I cant see why women stopped wearing these! I love them. Maybe I'm just messy who knows.

I have actually taken to wearing mine just when I have to clean the kitchen up. I also love to have something to wipe my hands on at ALL times.

I'm dying for this one for Fall. HOW CUTE!

Several times I have forgotten I had my apron on and went out to get the kids in the court. Its a good thing my neighbors understand my kinda crazy. LOL I could just stay in them all day. Maybe my mom kept me in smocks when I was little who knows. I think I'm going to get some fabric and try to make some this week. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Answered prayers!

For those of you who have read my blog about Danielle, wanted to give you an update. She is improving more each day, she can talk, laugh, & smile. Yesterday the therapist let her stand with her walker, trying to teach her to walk again. Her brain injury is healing, but it is slow. The doctors expect a 100% recovery in time. Next week she will go to Shepherd Pathways, for more intense therapy. Thanks for all your prayers.

I wanted to give everyone an update on Danielle. She is NOTHING SHORT of a miracle! Thanks to everyone for all their prayers.

Lazy afternoon

We had a relaxing Saturday afternoon. The plan was to go to Jaemoor Farms and get some veggies and fruit. I LOVE that place. Its just up the road from us and they have the best stuff. In the fall they have the pumpkins and hay rides but in the summer its just awesome. They have ALL the veggies and fruits you want. HUMONGOUS blackberries! But we saw how close Helen was and decided to go have lunch.

Chillin on the river in Helen. Yes, I have PROMISED to bring him back to go tubing!!!!!

My boys. I guess Jimmy didn't exactly get his pants on the right way after the bathroom break.

This was at Jaemoor Farms. They had homemade peach and strawberry ice cream. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! None of them really cared for it but let me tell you how good it was! It was honestly addicting. Each bite tasted like you were biting into an actual peach. I was dying.

Later we went for a night swim then came home and made cookies for the kids and watched Man vs Food (that guy is crazy). Relaxing day!

Everyone should be so lucky....

To have a mother like mine! I decided today was the day to get all my cabinets organized before school started back. I new one phone call to this little lady and she would come RUNNING. HA HA! I was so right. She was practically giddy with excitement. I really didn't think they were that bad but boy she did get a lot of enjoyment out of it. So you see I really did it for her. LOL

I can not even explain how much better they are. SO ORGANIZED and de cluttered.

I guess because I was so sweet to let her clean my kitchen AND MY GARAGE ( she really has a problem) she made my dinner for me. HA! I got it good my friends!!!

Marc was wanting stuffed green peppers and Mom thought it sounded good too. I got all the stuff and she threw them together. Can I just tell you that my dinner was hand delivered to my home. I microwaved some corn threw on some lipstick and was good to go. He would have NEVER known. That was until she called to see if he liked it. LOL OOPS!

Last but not least she picked me up these at the Teachers Pad. We went today and I was so bummed because they are closing! I loved that store. Long story for another day but this year I am homeschooling Jimmy for Kindergarten. LONG STORY! All I will say right now is that I am SUPER EXCITED about it. I have tons planned for him and I think it going to be a great year!
So its true that everyone should be so lucky to have a Mom like mine.
PS: Mom, after you left I was so motivated I cleaned the entire laundry room. Under and inside the washer. It's a beautiful site! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING TODAY!!!!!

A day in the life....

Summer is going WAY too fast for me. The boys start school Aug.9th and I think that is way too soon. I love these lazy days with them. Marc has been SOOOOOOOOO busy at work lately we cant believe it. He is working past 8 most nights and we hate it for him. We both agree that the fact he is working and has such a great job in this economy is worth it though. I just hope he understands how much we appreciate him though.

We started our day at the Coinstar. For some reason the boys take extreme pleasure in this thing. They save up all their coins and about every two weeks they cash them in. It's a win win situation because I let them use the money for the junk they know I won't normally buy. Pretty much anything at the end of a cash register (candy, gum). LOL

We decided to go see the ducks at the park. We wanted to see if the little ones had gotten any bigger. I think this picture is funny because it TOTALLY describes the scene. Jimmy wants to run and play and Tommy is freaked that he might get dirty. I told him he needed to lighten up.

Jimmy wanted to go out onto this little spot and Tommy looked at me and said "You said we are going to the mall after this, don't let him get all dirty." To which I said "Chill buddy, he is wearing $2.00 shoes from Target that we can put under the faucet."

I wanted Tommy to show me what he liked for back to school clothes. He is definatley my shopper in the family. He is a lot like his daddy. I don't know how but the child LOVES and understands good quality clothing.

Practicing his third grade moves.

OK,OK,OK, call child services on me. Yes, I let Tommy eat Chinese and Jimmy eat a hot dog at the food court. No I do not want to know how many calories was in that but trust me they burned them off in Belk.

Don't forget the ice cream. I told Jimmy to share some with Tommy and he told me "No thank you, I probably shouldn't after everything else I have eaten." Well, how very wise of you. He is honestly becoming his father before my very eyes.

I forgot Tommy could read and he pointed this out to me. I actually had to walk in the store to take a picture of this little diddy. Heaven help me (her) if my son should ever come home with a girl wearing this shirt.

Chillin and Grillin with the neighbors

Saturday night we had a cookout in the court with the neighbors. We had so much fun! Every year the plan is to go out after the sun goes down but we NEVER remember. Either we are hungry or we forget it takes until 8 to go down. So once again we were out there in the crazy heat.

Marc grillin up some hotdogs and hamburgers. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO tired of those already this summer. But he did a great job on the grill as always and they were very yummy!

Jimmy enjoying his hotdog. John and Christy have the best tent. Marc is making me get one this week. It keeps the heat and the bugs out. Although him and Tommy want me to get a GA one.

Sweet Sarah! Baby's love Marc.

All the kiddos were playing LATE into the night. The MAIN thing I love about my home is the lot. I remember finding this house and thinking how GREAT it would be for the boys to be able to play in the court.

Some more leftover firework fun for the kids.

If I have said it once I have said it a thousand times....I LOVE THIS MAN! Remember I said how sick of hotdogs and hamburgers I am, well tonight we had Mom and Dad down for some grilled porkchops. SO YUMMY. I thought they came out really well. Grilled porkchops, caesar salad, rice pilaf and rolls. Great summer meal to end a great weekend.

Finally!

I cant not tell you how long these little scrolls have bothered me. When we moved in (4 years ago) it was lower on the list of impotent things to do. Over the years they have gained speed rapidly rising to the top of that list. Its hard to tell in the picture but they basically are wood cutouts in that horrible scroll shape. Fixing it really shouldn't be that hard (so says the woman with the camera to the man who just wants to nap). Now if we can just get some wood filler, sand them down and paint white I will be a happy woman. Oh yeah and that dining room in the back right of the picture....help me think of a color. LOL

Worlds worst habit...

Oops...I may have started a bad habit. You see since summer started we drive to the pool or Grandma and Grandpas A LOT...each one is only a couple houses down from us. Really, they are close. It started as shotgun...whoever got there first...then it moved to sitting on each others laps in the front...then it moved to Jimmy on my lap helping drive. Seriously, its like I went to the Brittany Spears school of parenting. Jimmy is addicted now.

He already thinks he is a race car driver. I'm probably not helping. I didn't realize how bad it was until they jumped up front with Marc the other day. HA! You know that didn't go as they had planned. He had them in the backseats so fast their little heads were spinning. As for me I was "yeah, what are you guys thinking?" HA.

Still praying

We are still praying for sweet Danielle. I talked to Jane (mother in law) and she told me she may have SAID HER NAME! Oh my goodness that would be wonderful news. No matter how faint or how weak it may be she is in there. With her friends, family and prayer she WILL be back. Poor thing is going to have a long road ahead of her but she has hope! THANKS EVERYONE and keep the prayers going!

Fourth of July Weekend fun

Well, we started off the weekend with some sparkler and smores fun. The boys (all three of them) had fun setting off fireworks in the court. I couldnt get any good pictures because of the dark. Oh well.

I was shocked Jimmy would even hold the sparkler. I remember being terrified of them. LOL

Our awesome friends came and helped us out and then the kids made smores.

Jimmy is becoming an expert.

Fourth of July we headed to Mom and Dads to see Bill and Cheryl. They are Mom and Dads friends and I JUST LOVE THEM! Dad and Bill have been friends since they were Tommys age. They grew up in the same neighborhood. They are just awesome people. Plus Uncle Brian and Aunt Jay came over too.

We spent the afternoon at the pool then played some Guitar Hero and had some BBQ. I had to show you a picture of the tomatoes we grew. I dont eat them but Marc swears they were REALLY good. Uncle Brian, Marc and the boys had a little band going on.

After that we headed over to Lake Lanier to see the fireworks. They were just ok. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The real show was in the parking lot leaving. Normal traffic is one thing but we didn't move for two hours because someone got into an accident. IT WAS AWFUL!

Im telling you I just love these two! They are family to me. It was so good to see them but I wish they could have stayed longer.

You can kinda tell in these pics but Jimmy was not feeling himself. Long story short Im pretty sure he has strep. Now Tommy is not feeling well either. I think this week we are going to be doing a LOT of relaxing. I need to get them better QUICK!

Wishing that Marc didn't have to go back to work tomorrow but its inevitable. LOL

She needs your prayers...

This beautiful young lady (they grow way to fast) needs your prayers. She was involved in a serious accident the other night and has some very serious injuries. I can not begin to understand the anguish her mother, father and brother are going through as well as the rest of her family.

I am asking you to please pray for her and her family. Thank you.
