Meet Phil

Poor Tommy has been dying for a pet. Since I am pretty much allergic to everything he wants he has taken to finding one on his own. We took him to the pet store to look at Guinea Pigs but I started sneezing and swelling up so fast we had to get out of there.



Today he plucked this little guy out of the drain in the pool. LOL I refused to let him in my car for the drive home so he ran all the way home with him.



So far they go everywhere together. I keep thinking he will just jump away but he hasn't. SO WEIRD.





Currently he is residing in Tommy nightstand. You read that correctly. I told him if he was still here in a few days I would get a little tank or something. BIG MISTAKE. He took everything out of his nightstand drawer and there he is. Lets just hope that after cartoons he is still um...there. I refuse to go in there and look.

Summer is just about here.

I discovered something. The other day I got Jimmy a whole pineapple because they were on a good sale and he thought it was neat. WOW! Im hooked. Im ashamed to say how many of these little guys we have gone through around here. SO YUMMY!



Sweet corn on sale for 25 cents an ear. Something amazing happened the other night at dinner. There was silence. Silence because everyone was so engrossed in their corn. I literally mean all four of us. LOL Corn on the cob is a staple for us in the summer.




Just had to show you my FAVORITE new thing. Well, its not really new but I just started using it again. Mom bought this thing for me a few years ago at the Home Show. It looks like a hub cap but you lift the middle grate out and pour water in. IT COOKS PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!!!!! You can make pork chops, steak, hamburger, chicken etc... LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. No mess because you just wipe it when your done. Cooks perfectly. Anyway, just had to share. Let me know if you want one and Ill see what its called. I seriously LOVE this thing. Oh yeah, fish is great on it too. It is suppose to be way healthier as well.

Krispy Kreme Burger YIKES!

From time to time we get stuck watching Food Network on the weekends. Some shows we all four just zone out on for a few hours. Im not sure why but the kids love to watch Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and Man VS Food (Tommy's FAVORITE). The other day we saw the Krispy Kreme burger on one of the shows. An Illinois minor league team serves this burger. It makes me sick just thinking about it. Most of you may be shocked by this but Ill just say it. I AM NOT A FAN OF KRISPY KREME to begin with. This is just horrific though! YUCK! Indulgence at its worst!!!!!!!!!!! I did a little research and it comes in at 1000 calories for the burger with 10 grams of sugar in the donut alone. Now sure people are not eating these regularly (man I hope not) but still. ICK!

My little Jimmy

I had Jimmy's parent teacher conference today. As expected it went wonderful. I mean really how bad could it go. LOL He is four and I talk to his teacher twice a day every day. He is a happy, likeable four year old little boy who is not really into Art. HA. So for his treat I made him a cake. He LOVED IT! Im not lazy I just didn't see the reason to ice the sides. It might be my new thing. LOL




Two seconds later he wanted apples for his snack instead. Whatever. Im sure someone will want some cake after dinner. By the way, didn't Jimmy dress himself so nice this morning. He got up before me and dressed himself COMPLETLY. He even combed his hair. He always puts his own clothes on but he never picks them out.



So we had a great conference and we are going to bask in the glory. I know what is to come in his future and how much harder they will become. So for now WE EAT CAKE!

Tommy was suppose to be holding Jimmys hand but it looks more like he is pulling him by his arm.

Last week Mom and Dad made the big move. They lived 4 miles down the road from me and I loved it. They live for my boys and my boys live for them. Seriously, its kinda weird! LOL Both my kids cry when I come to get them. One day I will figure out what they are doing while Im gone but that's another story.

Well last week they moved into my neighborhood. More specifically one street over. Tommy can now ride his scooter to Grandma and Grandpas house. CRAZY! But oh so wonderful! Tonight we wanted to spend some time with just Tommy so Jimmy got to go to Grandma and Grandpas. Um, how SA WEET! is it that Tommy could just walk Jimmy up to Grandpa. PURE BLISS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back! Geez, for some reason I just did not feel like blogging for a while. But now I'm back and ready to share some adventures. First up is the above picture. Lets discuss. Most Moms would have said things such as "Jimmy, where is your shirt" or "Tommy, why are you goosing your brothers nipple?" I look like I'm holding Tommy against me for dear life. As I remember it was the only way to keep him from running away. They are such bozos sometimes!
