Christmas 2010!

What a wonderful Christmas! By design, we had a relaxing stress free holiday. Christmas Eve we met with Uncle Brian and Aunt Jay for a YUMMY dinner at Brookwood Grill. I LOVE that place. My handsome boys and I before dinner.

The boys got pillow pets from Grandma and Grandpa and L O V E D them. I new they wanted them but I had no idea how much. Jimmy never waivered but Tommy acted like he was just too old. HA! You should have seen him when he got his. He was SO happy!

After dinner we came home to lay out the cookies for Santa. I tried to get pics before his clothes came off but we all know how hard that is to do. UGH. The kid just never has clothes on.

Earlier in the day we made Christmas cookies for Santa. Ok fine....earlier in the day Daddy and the boys made Christmas cookies for Santa. LOL They looked GREAT!

It was a matter of minutes and Jimmy had stripped down. He loves his big brother SO much though!

After the boys went to bed "Santa" got to work. Lots of cookies to eat and presents to place.

All the money, time and stress of finding the right thing was all worth it Christmas morning.

Tommy FINALLY got his Wii. Oh my, can I just tell you how happy he was! I had no idea how much fun it was. Our whole family has been addicted to it. Marc and I have bowled and played tennis for a week straight.

Needless to say we have had a great time. Marc took the week after Christmas off so that means he has been home FOREVER! It has been great though. We have played Wii, ate WAY to much, saw the Little Fockers and Yogi Bear, and just enjoyed spending time with each other. We even had a White Christmas this year. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day! I hope yours has been just as wonderful!

Our LONG but WONDERFUL Thanksgiving week!

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving this year! We had the three F's, Friends, Family and Food. My Moms friend (now, forever mine) came for the week and I just adore her! She is the sweetest woman ever. She has such a pure heart.

My beautiful Mother making yet another turkey. I'm curious how many she has made at this point? A LOT! Let me tell you, I am a FAN of the bag to cook these suckers in. PERFECT!

The boys dying to get their little hands on it!

Jimmy learning just how to do it.

Tommy getting his big chance!

Two bozos eating turkey...well everything but Turkey.

Me and my Sister in law Jennifer.

Oh yes, the Mr. Turkey game made yet another appearance.

Bless his heart, Uncle Dave and his family had no idea what they were walking in to.

Uncle Dave and Brandi ( you done good Dave! We love her and Dylan)

Poor Marc stuck on the beanbag. LOL

We had the most wonderful relaxing weekend. The boys were off school all week and Marc was off from Wed. afternoon until tomorrow (Tues.) If you know him you know how rare that is. He has taken so little vacation time he finally HAS to use some by the end of the year. LOL We ate, shopped, saw Megamind, took naps, cleaned and had a little dinner party before Pam had to leave. LOVED my new apron. Told ya I was addicted to them!

Bored

Today was the second day in a row of straight non stop rain. Real rain, not just drizzles.

Jimmy and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. He LOVES his new boots and wanted to check out the puddles.

Mr. Gordons Fishermen.

Gotta get that energy out!!!

He said he was blowing away. LOL
Just a slow, rainy, boring day. Sometimes those are the best though.

Happy Halloween!

BOO!

For the first year my baby was something SCARY! HA. He loved being able to wear a mask and look scary!

Freaky!

Ready to get some C A N D Y!

Had to go see Grandma and Grandpa.

Jimmy found some friends. The only problem was that he DID NOT want to leave their party.

They don't understand ladies first yet. LOL

Just a neighbors dining room, but it was GORGEOUS in person. Pics don't really show it well. It was really neat looking. It gave me some Christmas inspiration. HMMM. I hope you had a great Halloween. MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!!!

Great job Daddy!

Happy Halloween

Where haven't we been...

Boy oh boy have we been busy. Even though it feels like summer it's finally Fall! That means we have been pretty much staying in the woods or around a campfire. A few weekends ago we headed to Hiawassee, GA. It was beautiful.

Next, we headed to Asheville, NC. BEAUTIFUL! Pics (with this horrible camera) do not do it justice. The boys L O V E being anywhere there is water. Creeks seem to call their name! They stay wet.

Not sure what was wrong with Tommy. LOL

Jimmys turn to be goofy.

Tommy trying to find the perfect balance between the biggest pumpkin and one Daddy will say yes to.

Daddy trying to talk Jimmy in to the 2 for $5.00 pumpkins. IT WORKED!
We have been busy but the good kind of busy. Tomorrow is pumpkin carving and then Sunday is the big day. HALOWEEN! My favorite. I'll be back with pictures.

Apples

I dont care that it is 94 degrees today. Fall is coming! I'm ready to pick some apples!!! I remember going with my Aunt Margie picking apples when I was young and I LOVED it. I just remember picking tons. We had bags and bags of them. There is just so many things you can do with them. My top picks this year are going to be dried apples and homemade applesauce. We eat that stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner around here. Does anyone know of a good place in GA to pick your own apples? Every place around me wont let us pick them. Thanks!

CRAZY Busy!!!!

I possibly underestimated my time to blog while this little one is home. LOL We have been learning E V E R Y T H I N G ! No matter what I give him he just gets it. This week my goal is to make it MUCH harder.

Jimmy is in that horrible stage where he is way to big for a stroller but not exactly wanting to walk around for hours at the mall. These little cars are the BEST!

One of our favorite things to do in the fall is go to fairs and festivals. LOVE THEM! The other day I may have jumped the gun and dragged my family to the Winder Jugs Tavern Festival. (Yeah, Marc had a field day with that one). Apparently, that is what Winder use to be named. It was H O T! This weather is crazy. It has to cool down soon.

Jimmy was so excited sit in the train. He found out he can go trick or treating the day before Halloween at the train depot. He is SO excited about it!
Tommy had a blast at skate night the other night and he is doing GREAT in school. We are so proud of him this year. He is really excelling in so many areas. He has his first job taking care of the neighbors dog and he loves it. He also loves buying his own video games. HA.
Gotta go because we are working on letter G just in time for Halloween Ghost time. Its time for gumball math. HA I need a vacation soon. Nowhere special just somewhere there are ADULTS!

He said it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!

My neighbors kid rocks! HA. Lets ignore that it is Auburn for a moment. The kid ROCKS! He was suppose to mow the lawn. Possibly he should have told his Dad what he was going to do. Nope, he told his Mom and she just laughed. Probably NEVER thinking he would really do it. Well, HE DID! HA HA. He said his Dad had some choice words when he saw it. That's when he said It was TOTALLY WORTH IT! I would TOTALLY do it again. HA HA HA. You gotta love 14 year old boys, the just act.

You didn't think I would play Auburn music did you. HA

I get it now....

Jimmy's first Birthday at Chucke Cheese!

Can anyone believe this was him just one year ago. It was his 4th birthday! WOW, he has really grown this year.

Anyone with children knows that feeling when you have your first baby. Pure joy different then you have ever felt before. My life changed the day I had Tommy. It was an overwhelming love. Fast forward to being pregnant with Jimmy. Would I be able to love another child the way I love this one? How could I give the same love, attention and time to this child without taking away from the other one. Oh, how I laugh at that now!!! When the doctor held him up my world stopped once again. An overwhelming love. Our family was never the same from that day on. The joy that it is to be his mother is indescribable. His smile melts me and his laughter is infectious. I love my Jimmy and want to wish him a VERY HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY!!!!!
