Oh my goodness, Halloween is just getting started but I had to share so far. LOVE THESE BOYS!

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Well, if you can believe this Tommy's school was closed today due to the flu. So many kids are sick they shut his school down until further notice. All I can say is WOW, and I hope we stay well and everyone gets better quickly!

Tonight was Tommy's cub scout party and Bobcat ceremony. I was so proud of him because he was proud of himself. So far he has really enjoyed these boys and what they are doing. Nov 7th they are going to paint a shed at a local church and they are SOOOOOOO excited about it.

Due to the flu going around we were down to only three boys. They had fun painting there pumpkins though and we figured out they can get points for art. HA We parents take ANY points we can get for our scouts.

He looks so much like his Daddy here.

Fun with the boys!

Finally

I have been working on this FOREVER but I finally think I got my Tupperware site the way I want it. Let me know what you think and if I should change anything. I really wanted to get it out there before Thanksgiving. Hope this goes well! Fingers crossed!

We headed back to Franklin NC and the Highlands this weekend. Sat was a beautiful day in the mountains! Simply gorgeous!

Mom and Dad were camping in Franklin so we got to go see their new camper and let the kids play a little. The boys were bummed that the river the Grandparents told them to come fish in was actually about a 15 foot drop. After all the rain it was more like a raging river anyway.

Mom is going to kill me for this picture but it pretty much says it all. LOL

Tommy got to meet someone very special to him. Notice the hands in the pockets. That is a 7 year old boy trying to act cool. Trust me, I know him well.

I only take these pics to prove to Marc that I need a new camera! HA It was just such a gorgeous drive between Franklin and The Highlands.

After much deliberation I decided to let him at it and he did VERY well. I'm sure he contracted swine flu but he did very well.

The colors had finally changed.

Why the kids like to roast marsh mellows I have no idea. They never eat what they roast. They just like to catch them on fire and scare their Mother.

Had to show ALL the boys

I really get a kick out of the extremes people will go to. For some reason people seem to go so extreme in situations. When I was looking for the below quote from the Duggars (which I saw the other day and was just floored) I was SHOCKED to see how many people find this acceptable behavior on how to raise young girls. BOTH SIDES. What happened to teaching our young girls good body image. I personally think BOTH these situations are harmful to these poor girls. Below is a statement made by one of the Duggars about what happens when they have to walk outside with mere mortals such as myself. Funny, they had no problem showing her BIRTH to her 18th child on TV.

"This word - "defrauding" - was then used repeatedly for the duration of this segment in the show. One of the older girls went on to explain that if the family is out in public and sees a woman in an immodest outfit (including tank tops, by the way), someones shouts "NIKE!"Nike is the codeword for a defrauding, immodestly dressed woman. So, when the boys hear someone yell the code word, they all walk with their heads looking down until someone yells, "All clear!"

I can not even imagine what these boys will think about a girl in a tank top. The below pics are of the bathing suits they wear WHEN they let them swim in public.

On the other hand:

This is the source of many a mother and daughter argument in the Target Halloween isle. They will honestly make a Sexy Halloween costume out of anything! LOL I think I'm going to get Tommy a mask that he can not see out of for the next 16 Halloweens! HA.

Cooper update

Cooper is a Black Lab and German Shepherd mix. He is going to be 70-80 pnds. ( So they say) I personally think something like 50-60. He is the best dog in the world. He already has learned sit, stay and come commands. He is like 95 % house trained. The other 5 % is me. LOL The boys love him but Tommy has really taken to him. He meets him at the bus stop every day even if it is raining. I think they are going to be best buddies. Im off to buy the biggest pooper scooper I can find.

I had to go to Sams yesterday to get a few things and I gave myself WAY to much time before I had to pick Jimmy up. So with time to kill I headed over to Borders. I love that place! Tommy loves getting new books and I found him a good one for Halloween. I decided since I was there I should try to find some of the books I'm always hearing about. The one above was pretty much everything we all know already! LOL Boys are different then girls in EVERY way. The think, act, learn, play, and just about everything else differently then girls. That is not a bad thing. Society just needs to better educate themselves about it.

So if you know my you probably know by now that I'm selling Tupperware! The only twist is that I am primarily selling it online. So far it has been really fun and easy so I thought I would pick it up a notch. I am looking for a few people to host an ONLINE only party. It is extremely simple and pretty much nothing for you to do except invite the people. You party will be open for two weeks for people to order. Here is all you would have to do:

Sign on to my website with Tupperware: ( make sure you click on Becky Cochran for your consultant if it asks)

http://my2.tupperware.com/tup-html/R/rebeccacochran-welcome.html

Then go to the right hand side of the page and click on online party. From there all you will have to do is invite your friends.

From there you will be able to log on for the next two weeks and check your status of hostess points and what you may have earned!

I promised it would be Very SIMPLE!

Good Luck!

Meet Cooper

Meet Cooper. The newest member of our family. I love him so much already! Marcs Moms neighbor found him and some others abandoned and she brought them home with her. To make a long story short Tommy, Marc and yes MOMMY fell in love with him.

So far he was been THE BEST DOG EVER! I am taking him to the vet tomorrow to get him checked out and to hopefully find out what he is. We think he is a Beagle and Lab mix. He is learning to walk on the leash and he is almost potty trained completely. MY KIND OF DOG.

I cant wait to see how big he gets. Tommy is so excited about getting him. He is still at his Grandmothers house but when he gets home he is going to have a surprise. Cooper will be living in his room. Yes, you heard me right. Coopers cage will stay in Tommys room. A boy and his dog should be together. LOL

New favortite thing

In one of the stores we went into last weekend they were playing some Louis Armstrong music. The combination of the music, the spiced smells, the chill in the air.......that was all it took. Im hooked! Im on my way to find as many Louis Armstrong CD's as I can. I could listen to him all day. I think I just might.

A quick glance.
Posted by Picasa

Fall is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great weekend with my honey. We stayed for the weekend in Dillard, GA and drove to Franklin and then the Highlands, NC. I can honestly tell you that The Highlands is my new favorite place. It probably didn't help that I was there during the Fall (decorating) season. LOL

Most people shop for Christmas trees, not us. We shop for cornstalks.

The drive from Franklin to the Highlands was beautiful! Waterfalls everywhere!

A sweet couple took this one for us.

The entryway to my Heaven on earth! This store was simply amazing. It smelled so good and had the most amazing Fall decor.

We ate lunch in the pharmacy! Yes, the pharmacy. I must be a city girl because I'm not sure I have ever done that before. Although I do remember our OLD Walgreen's having a counter but I was a kid. By the way BEST grilled cheese sandwich.

We stayed at the Rock House that is right next to the Dillard Inn. VERY OLD HOUSE, that I'm convinced is haunted. LOL

Our view from the rocking chairs. The picture does not do it justice. It was so clear and beautiful. We so need a new camera! Saturday night they sat out tables and chairs and had a wine and cheese tasting. I thought that was all it was going to be but when we got there I could not believe ALL the goodies they had. Tons of fruit, chocolate covered strawberry's, desserts, cheeses, hor'dourves. They were so yummy. We did TONS more but I wont bore you with it all. It was a great trip though and I loved every minute of my time with my husband of 10 years. I cant believe we are starting our 11th year of marriage. I think its getting even better!
