Its that time again

Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its that time again. Time to gather all my favorite people and head to the beach. We have decided to go to the same condo as last year because it was so much fun. The kids had such a good time and it was so relaxing for the adults. They have really fixed PCB beach up a lot!! I'm looking forward playing on the beach with my kiddos, hearing some live music and maybe some shopping at the new mall! We are leaving May 23rd but I already told Marc we are kicking the week off with a trip to the Imax to see Night at the Museum 2. I CANT WAIT FOR IT! Tommy has worked really hard this year and he deserves a good break before 2nd grade. I cant believe I'm saying this but Jimmy is starting school next year. Ok, its PRE K but to me its school. It is the first time since the day he was born that he has gone anywhere except Grandmas or church camp for a few days. I'm not ready nor do I think I will be as I'm starting to cry already. So starting in August I'm going to have an insane amount of time on my hands. I have some ideas up my sleeve already but to be honest I'm enjoying my days with Jimmy for now. The funny thing is he cant wait to go to school. Tommy was the same way. You would think keeping them home with me would make them the opposite but no, they run into the school. HA HA I have so much to do and a short time to do it in. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions of easy foods I can take for the condo. I need some casserole or grilling ideas.

My UNSIGHTLY yard

So bear with me because I'm a little upset. Friday night Marc got home and went to Lowes to get more pinestraw and plants for our little project in the backyard. He has been very busy and getting home late, but he looks forward to working in the yard on the weekends. We planted double knockout roses on the hill with daylilies in the front. On the right side its just a ton of plants and flowers that will be beautiful when they bloom. He moved the hydrangeas and did a bunch on the side of the house too. Next up we need new pavers for the pathway to the playset. Its so hard to see in this pic but I'm telling you it is so pretty in person. I might also add that Marc got up Sat. morning to mow the yard but realized it was the neighborhood garage sale and thought he would wait because both our neighbors were having sales.
So while we were doing this:

Someone was putting this in our mailbox:
There are SEVERAL things about this letter that set me off. I will let you find them. Let me give you a hint of some key words that really got me SOUTHERN ACCENTS, RECEIPTS, UNSIGHTLY. I will give you a little background. The person who owns SOUTHERN ACCENTS lives in my neighborhood. I do not use them. I use Chem Lawn. I'm pretty sure they have a problem with that. YA THINK!
Note that the date of our yard inspection was yesterday. I took a pic of the yard about 10 minutes after I got the letter. (That is Marc very upset LOL)

So after a long day of planting and ticking off the POA the hubby got out to fix the unsightly mess that was our front yard.
Wow, thank goodness the POA let us know what to do. We would have been lost without them!!! Thanks, POA!!

Mommy, I dont want this on my chest any more

Poor Jimmy! He has had a fever for about two days but nothing else. For some reason he just didn't feel good and I couldn't get the fever to stay away. We left this morning to just get some groceries and things did not go as planned. He just seemed to keep getting worse and he was burning up. I called the doctor and they said to bring him over so we were on our way. The doc had me go straight to get a chest xray. As sick as he was he was soooooooooo good. I was so proud of him. When we were at driving from the doctors office to the imaging center he asked me if Grandma was gonna meet us there. Because Grandma makes my fever go down when you make my fever go up. WHATEVER JIMMY. Little did he know that as I was telling Grandma she was half way to her car already. HA HA. So me Jimmy and Grandma went to get our xray and he did so good. He got to wear a little apron and take some pictures. He even got to go to Wendys and get chicken and a Frosty. He thought ice cream would make him feel better. So we found out he has a VERY NASTY throat infection and pneumonia. With his antibiotics and inhaler all should be well in a few days. I gotta tell you my boys are troopers. Nothing gets them down. The only time he complained was when we coughed real bad and he said Mommy, I dont want this on my chest anymore. Daddy brought him home some car magazines and popsicles so he is as happy as can be again. I just need to keep this fever down. But the antibiotics should help. Wish us luck.

Yes, I had my cell phone and I couldn't help but get this pic. He was soooooooo adorable with his little apron. I knew Daddy would want to see him. If you look at his face you can see just how bad little man was feeling.

Go Gwinnett Braves!

These pictures are totally out of order but you will get the idea. Since we were taking the kids to the ballgame anyway I thought I would turn it into Family night for April. That means that we had everyone over early and cooked out hotdogs, had popcorn and chips. I made some cupcakes that looked like baseballs ( to me at least) but no one was really into them because they had cool whip instead of icing. Trying to be a little healthier but I digress. As with my family nights we had baseball theme trivia. Marc won as usual. The new ballpark was awesome and the kids had a great time. They liked the game but loved when Grandma and Grandpa took them to the jumpy things!! GO FIGURE! Even though it called for rain the weather was PERFECT. It was a great day!

The boys got to run the bases after the game. Tommy went twice and got in trouble. No surprise.

Opening of the game

The stretch and the pitch! 94 mph!

Banana dog for the boy who, shall we say has a "temperamental" tummy

Not a hit. Go figure

Mini Vacation

We are back from a very quick little vacation. Everyone is so tired but it was worth it. We left Th. morning and went to Ft. Oglethorpe to see Papaw Frank. ( Big David's daddy) Since he was not answering the door we went to see the battlefield. I am not surprised the boys enjoyed it. They love anything about history and cannons! After that we went back and visited with Papaw for a while. Then we left and headed to Chattanooga. The boys were so happy they got to swim at the hotel! Indoor pools are great!!! The next day we took the kids to the Childrens musuem. That place was really neat. Friday night we got a chance to see Uncle Tim and Aunt Erica in their Easter play at their church. AWESOME!!! I really cant explain it in a short post put that church should be very proud of what they put on. You could tell they really felt it in their hearts and souls. GOOD JOB GUYS! We got to see our friends Jay and Keri along with sweet Kylie! I love that girl. Back to see Tim, Erica and Tanner and then headed home. Somewhere in there we saw lookout mountain, ate at every restaurant in TN and had a lot of fun!

Dads Big Party

Wow, it finally happened. Dads party was perfect! Mom and I pulled it off. Everything went great. Here are some quick pics from the night. It was so awesome to see Dad truly surprised and so happy. It is no secret how I feel about my parents, but I have to say they have some of the best friends anyone could have. These people are my family and I want to tell you THANK YOU again for being there. My Dads career has been an amazing example to us. We look to him for advice because we know hes gonna shoot us straight. He has spent his career being the complete example of a true professional. He is my hero because of who he is as a person. Everything he did, he did for us (or at least we felt that way). Being married I now understand it probably wasn't always as effortless as he made it seem. I want to tell him Thank you. So Thank you Dad! I love you and I'm ready for you to start whatever this next chapter is going to be. I do need a buddy to watch Young and the Restless with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once in a Lifetime...

It finally happened to me! I had read it was a once in a lifetime chance, but I never knew it would happen to me. I immediately placed a few phone calls to tell what had just happened. I called Becky, as apparently she was the "best" person to convey this happening to everyone else that I didn't call. I remained calm the entire time this was happening. Again, I could not believe it was happening to me. I was a little embarrassed and yet a little excited, but kept my composure. For those of you missed the phone call from my wife, here is brief description of what the once in a lifetime event was. I got stuck (by myself) in an elevator leaving work Thursday afternoon. It took about an hour and a half for the elevator repair person to open the door and let me jump out. It was stuck between floors.

So, if you have ever wondered what your chances of being stuck in an elevator are, once in a lifetime.
